In the Summer of 2022, I interned with CNN en Español’s special projects division.
During my time with the team, I assisted with the production of original documentary content for the network, segments for Vive la Salud with Dra. Marisa Azaret, and Spanish translations of English-language CNN specials. I also conducted investigative research for multiple multimedia projects, pitched story ideas to my team, and booked guests for multiple CNNE shows.

I was credited as an assistant producer and investigative researcher for two longform TV specials for the channel. I am credited as an assistant producer for Surfside: la noche que estremeció Miami, an hour-long special investigating and showcasing the failures that lead to the 2021 collapse of the Champlain Towers South in Surfside, Florida. The special premiered on the one-year anniversary of the tragedy.
I also assisted with the production of Planeta en peligro: California en crisis. The hour-long special showcased the effects of climate change on California and how it impacts the Latino communities in the state. The program features the struggles of farmers grappling with shortages of water and other resources, experts alarmed with the crisis, and families that have been dislocated by natural disasters enhanced by climate change. I helped design the production plan for the documentary, reached out to potential interviewees, and engaged in research for the feature.
